Noor Research Center Unveils Three AI-Powered Islamic Knowledge Platforms at 33rd Quran Exhibition

The Noor Computer Research Center for Islamic Sciences has announced its active participation in the 33rd International Holy Qur’an Exhibition, unveiling three advanced artificial intelligence products aimed at transforming access to Islamic sources.

Hawzah News Agency- Speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition in Tehran, Hojatoleslam Mohammad Hossein Bahrami, head of the center, said the institution has entered this year’s event with a focused presence in the artificial intelligence section, introducing what he described as “intelligent dialogue systems” designed to facilitate direct interaction with foundational Islamic texts.

According to Bahrami, the center’s primary emphasis this year is on three AI-powered chatbot platforms: an intelligent dialogue system for Hadith literature, a smart interface for Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), and a conversational platform enabling users to engage with a broad range of Islamic scholarly books.

“These systems are designed to provide structured, research-based, and context-aware responses drawn from authoritative Islamic sources,” he said, noting that the platforms aim to simplify scholarly access for researchers, students, and the wider public alike.

AI Meets Islamic Scholarship

The Noor Center, widely recognized for its decades-long contribution to digitizing Islamic heritage, has increasingly integrated artificial intelligence into its research infrastructure. By deploying conversational AI tools, the institution seeks to enhance user interaction with classical texts that traditionally require advanced academic training to navigate.

The Hadith chatbot allows users to query narrations and receive sourced responses drawn from recognized collections. The Tafsir dialogue platform enables interactive exploration of Qur’anic commentary across multiple exegetical traditions. Meanwhile, the general Islamic books chatbot provides intelligent access to a wide corpus of scholarly works spanning jurisprudence, theology, philosophy, and ethics.

Organizers say the technology has been developed with careful attention to textual authenticity and academic rigor, ensuring that responses remain grounded in verified databases compiled by the center over many years.

Expanding Digital Religious Engagement

Bahrami emphasized that the seminary community and affiliated research institutions have maintained a strong presence at this year’s exhibition, reflecting a broader commitment to modernizing religious outreach through technological innovation.

He expressed hope that the newly introduced AI products would receive a positive reception from visitors, particularly young audiences accustomed to digital interaction.

The unveiling of these intelligent dialogue platforms signals a growing convergence between traditional Islamic scholarship and emerging technologies, positioning artificial intelligence as a tool for expanding access to religious knowledge while maintaining fidelity to established sources.

As the 33rd International Holy Qur’an Exhibition continues in Tehran, the Noor Center’s AI initiatives stand out as a prominent example of how digital transformation is reshaping the landscape of contemporary Islamic research and education.
